We are pleased to announce the new location for Queercon 16, which also happens to be an old location. That’s right, this year we’re kicking it old school and going back to where it all began, the Alexis Park! We are taking over the entire resort and this year the Alexis Park will be the new Diversity Resort for hacker summer camp.

Queercon is an open safe place for the LGBTQ hacker, their friends and our supporters. We are dedicated to ensuring a safe place for all of our attendees.
Once again the Queercon Team has created an amazing electronic badge for Queercon 15, in addition to a new non-electronic badge.
For Queercon 15 a number of our events will require a badge in order to attend. We will be offering the badge in two options this year. Our awesome custom electronic version and a simple non-electronic version.
Early reservation will open on June 15th at 8:00 AM for both versions. The electronic badge will have only a limited number available for pre-reservation.
Over the past 15 years, Queercon has grown from a social group to a complete con-within-a-con. For those who have attended the past few years, you may have noticed that we have seen an amazing increase in attendance year-over-year.
Summary of changes for Queercon 15 (the TL;DR):
Queercon will have two different types of Badges this year: Our usual (and fantastic) Electronic Badge, as well as a Non-Electronic Badge.
A Queercon Badge (Electronic or Non) will be required for attendance to many of our evening events.

Queercon started in 2004 as a hacker party inside of the annual Defcon hacker conference. Over the decade+ Queercon has grown into the largest social network of LGBT hackers from around the world. We continue to grow and now focus on outreach to the LGBTQ+ community within the IT Security and Hacker Spaces.
